Watercolor Geode Workshop, International Women’s Association, Penang
Community Art & Creative Workshops
In Penang, I volunteered with the International Women’s Association to lead a beginner watercolor course focused on painting geodes. This workshop emphasized creative exploration, offering participants of all skill levels the opportunity to experiment with various watercolor techniques in a non-representational, judgment-free environment. By focusing on geodes, participants could freely explore blending, layering, and texture-building, fostering confidence and artistic growth. This experience highlighted my passion for bringing communities together through art and demonstrated my ability to design inclusive, engaging programs that make art accessible to all. These workshops reflect my broader vision of using art as a platform for public engagement and creative expression, aligning with my goal of expanding into public art initiatives that inspire and connect diverse audiences.
