The Fabric of Memory: Watercolor Paintings Inspired by Quilts
My watercolors are inspired by old, often abandoned quilts that I discover in thrift shops and goodwill stores. Each quilt tells a story, stitched together from recycled materials like shirts, dresses, curtains, and even underwear.
I am especially drawn to the mystery of these abandoned pieces: whose clothes were they made from? What lives did they touch? To me, these quilts are the fabric of memory, infused with love and resilience. Through my paintings, I hope to honor their stories and give them a new life, bridging the past with the present.
